7.8% GDP growth: 'Dead' economy proved to be quite alive and kicking
India’s economy grew 7.8% in the April-June quarter of FY27, beating the RBI’s 7% forecast, the 7.1% Reuters poll median and other market estimates of around 7.3%. The strong growth came despite higher oil prices, the West Asia conflict, supply-chain disruptions and uncertainty over global trade. In this video, we explain where the 7.8% growth came from, including 7.1% private consumption growth, an 11.9% jump in investment, 9.2% manufacturing growth, around 10% services growth and around 12% export growth. We also look at why India proved more resilient than expected, the role of infrastructure spending and improving bank and corporate balance sheets, and whether this momentum can translate into sustained 7% plus growth.#IndiaGDP #GDPGrowth #IndiaEconomy #GDP #FY27 #EconomicGrowth #RBI #Manufacturing #PrivateInvestment #Consumption #Exports #CentreCapex #OilPrices #BusinessNews #EconomyNews
