Evil Eye in Space? Nasa captures galaxy 17 million light years away from Earth. Check image here
Nasa has discovered a galaxy which goes by the nickname 'Evil Eye' which is atleast 17 million light years from Earth. The galaxy has a bright yellow nucleus of a galaxy which is shinning brightly amongst dark dust in brown and orange.

The image which is shared by Nasa shows a bright yellow nucleus of a galaxy which is shinning brightly amongst dark dust in brown and orange. There are blue and purple dots swirling around the galaxy’s center.
"It was first catalogued in the 18th century by the French astronomer Messier. Located in the northern constellation Coma Berenices, M64 resides roughly 17 million light-years from Earth," said Nasa in the statement it has released.
The galaxy captured has been given the nickname 'evil Eye' because of the spectacular dark band of absorbing dust in front of the galaxy’s bright nucleus.
The image was captured by Nasa's Hubble telescope which explores the universe for every minute
"The gas in the outer regions of this remarkable galaxy is rotating in the opposite direction from the gas and stars in its inner regions. This strange behavior can be attributed to a merger between M64 and a satellite galaxy over a billion years ago," said Nasa through its statement.
With an magnitude of 9.8, the Black Eye galaxy can be spotted with a moderately sized telescope.
