Youth Congress observes PM Modi’s birthday as Unemployment Day
Youth Congress leaders claimed there had been a manifold increase in unemployment among Indian youth during Modi’s tenure at the helm so far, rationalising its decision to mark the prime minister’s birthday as unemployment day.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi however extended a one-line birthday greeting - "Happy Birthday, Modi Ji" – via a tweet on Friday morning, only to put out another tweet in Hindi indirectly supporting the Youth Congress later in the evening.
“There would not have been the need for the National Unemployment Day had the BJP worked for the people than some friends,” Gandhi said on Twitter.

Meanwhile, AICC spokesperson Supriya Shrinate said, “We pray for his (Modi’s) wellbeing, but we do believe that this day is being celebrated in many parts of the country as unemployment day, anti-farmer day, high prices day, crippled economy day, as winning over your crony capitalists friends’ day, as ED, IT, CBI raid day, and the corona (Covid-19) mismanagement day.”
