Yogi to receive US President at the airport but not accompany to Taj

Agra: Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath will welcome US President Donald Trump at the Kheria airport in Agra as part of protocol but will not accompany the Trump family to Taj Mahal, a senior UP government official told ET.

Agra city too is geared up for Trump’s visit. Massive billboards of Trump and PM Modi have come up on the streets. “Welcome to the holy land of Lord Ram” said some while “welcome to the land of immense opportunities for investment” read others.

Along the road leading to the east gate of Taj from where Trump will be entering, cutouts of Trump and Modi have been placed under pillars and lamp posts. US and India flags have lined the way up to the entrance of The Oberoi Amarvilas where Trump will shift into battery-run golf carts.
