Yogi Adityanath meets industry captains, top bankers to attract investment

Yogi had a morning meeting with ten of the country's top bankers, including State Bank of India chairman Rajnish Kumar, Central Bank of India chairman Rajeev Rishi.

MUMBAI: Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath met top industry captains and bankers Friday in a bid to attract investment for his state as Prime Minister Narendra Modi had done more than a decade ago as Gujarat CM.

In the roadshow to an investors summit in the state to be held in February, Adityanath will meet the who's who of corporate India including Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani, Tata Sons chairman emeritus Ratan Tata and chairman N Chandrasekaran, Mahindra & Mahindra managing director Pawan Goenka, Essel group chairman Subhash Chandra, Hindu Group chairman Ashok Hinduja and HDFC chairman Deepak Parekh.

The roadshow is being organised by the CII.


The CM, meanwhile, also met country's top bankers, including State Bank of India chairman Rajnish Kumar, Central Bank of India chairman Rajeev Rishi and Dena Bank chairman Ashwani Kumar among others, in the morning and invited them to open regional offices in his state.
