Yogi Adityanath declares, 'Humne Vachan Nibhaya, Mandir Vahi Banaya,' highlighting Hindus demand for only three places

Hitting out at the opposition in Uttar Pradesh assembly, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today said that the BJP government has fulfilled what promised. "Hamane vachan nibhaaya, mandir vaheen banaaya," he said in the Assembly while talking about construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. He also said that in Mahabharata, Pandavas had asked for 5 villages, but 'Hindus are just demanding only three places, referring to Mathura, Kashi and Ayodhya.

He also attacked opposition parties intention to block development work at holy places like Mathure, Ayodhya and Varanasi. "What was the intention of previous governments behind not developing Ayodhya, Mathura, and Kashi? Humari astha thi, niyat bhi saaf thi, aur neeti bhi. Hamne Jo Kaha so kiya. Keval bolte nhi, karte bhi hain (We had faith, intention and policy. We did what we promised. We don't only speak we fulfil promises."

"Although the Ayodhya Ram Temple dispute was in court, the roads could have been widened, the airport could have been built, development could have been done. What was the intention to stop development in Mathura, Kashi, Ayodhya?" Yogi asked.


"Ayodhya city was brought within the purview of prohibitions and curfew by the previous governments. For centuries, Ayodhya was cursed with ugly intentions. It faced a planned disdain. Such treatment to public sentiments was perhaps never seen anywhere else. Ayodhya faced injustice. When I speak about injustice, we recall the 5000-year-old thing. Injustice was done even to the Pandavas at that time...That had happened with Ayodhya, Kashi and Mathura," he added.

He also said that public faith was insulted in the country, and Ram Mandir construction should have begun in 1947 after India gained independence. "We only asked for three places as those are special," he said.
