Yasin Malik hospitalised

J&K Liberation Front chief was admitted to Govt Medical College.

JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chief Yasin Malik was admitted to Government Medical College (GMC) hospital here today following an abdominal pain.

Malik, who is lodged in Amphalla central jail here, was shifted and admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of GMC hospital after a stomach pain, official sources said.

Security has been stepped up around the unit, they said, adding that Malik had returned from AIIMS, New Delhi on December 7 after going through a treatment there.

He was shifted from Amphalla central jail and admitted to AIIMS on November 24. Malik has been in jail since October 28 after he was arrested under the Public Safety Act (PSA).

Dr Sunil Gupta, Medical Superintendent, said Malik was fine.
