XLRI launches Swachh Bharat Abhiyan

The drive was organized in association with the Marketing Association of XLRI (MAXI). Student volunteers from XLRI and its partner institute Tongji University, China and cleaned up some areas in Sonari here today and put up messages in the locality promoting cleanliness.
Lending their support to the initiative was JUSCO (Jamshedpur Utilities and Services Company) who ensured that Jamshedpur remained one of the cleanest city in India, according a XLRI release here.
Fifteen partner schools across Jamshedpur promised to join in this XLRI initiative, with students cleaning their respective school premises. In the past week students of Narberam Hansraj English School, DBMS English, School, Sacred Heart Convent, Rajendra Vidyalaya helped to spread the message.
The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in October calls for famous personalities, schools, colleges and other institutions to contribute towards achieving the vision of 'clean India' by 2019.
