Won’t lose job, but threat of transfer looms, says Satyapal Malik
J&K Governor is in eye of a storm over his recent remark that had he installed Lone govt on BJP’s wish, he would have been remembered as a dishonest man

Malik was addressing a function in remembrance of Congress leader and former minister Girdhari Lal Dogra, on his 31stdeath anniversary. Dogra is also finance minister Arun Jaitley’s father-in-law.

The transfer remark comes three days after Malik at a university function in Gwalior said BJP government in New Delhi wanted Sajjad Lone of People’s Conference to be the next chief minister of the state.
“I returned to the state to be part of this very important function as Dograji was a great leader,” said Malik J&K Governor has taken radical decision since he assumed office in August this year and is extremely vocal than his predecessor.
During the function at Gwalior, Malik said had he looked towards New Delhi and followed what they wanted, history would have remembered him as a dishonest man.
Malik has also triggered a storm, by declaring J&K Bank as a PSU and bringing it under RTI.
