Addressing partymen at the BJP headquarters, Prime Minister Narendra Modi thanked voters for their overwhelming participation in the electoral process.

Commenting on breaking the jinx in UP where no chief minister has been voted to power for a second consecutive term in the past over 35 years, the PM said Yogi Adityanath's emphatic win is a combination of decisive leadership and people-centric governance.

"The mothers, sisters, daughters who have voted, I would like to say a special thanks to them. Wherever our mothers, sisters and daughters have voted, BJP has got a bumper result," iterated Modi in his speech.


"BJP's vote share has increased in Manipur, Uttar Pradesh and Goa, even after being incumbent. All exit polls were proven incorrect in Goa, and the people of Goa have given us the chance to serve them for the third consecutive time," he said.

In Goa, he said, the BJP has emerged as the single largest party and even after being in power for 10 years, the number of BJP seats in the state has increased.

Mentioning about BJP's thumping victory in Assam's Urban body polls, BJP President JP Nadda thanked the people of Assam enabling the party to serve the citizens.
