Woman’s manhandling reflects BJP culture: Karnataka Congress

Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee chief DK Shivakumar said the incident of BJP MLA manhandling a woman councillor during elections reflects the culture of the BJP and lack of control over the party leaders.

“The BJP leaders are under the impression that they can behave the way they want. The Congress will wait and watch what action the chief minister will take against the legislator,” DK Shivakumar said.
Bengaluru: The Karnataka Congress has condemned the incident of BJP MLA from Terdal Siddu Savadi manhandling a woman councillor during the elections for a town municipal council in Bagalkot district on Wednesday.

Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee chief DK Shivakumar said the incident reflected the culture of the BJP and lack of control over the party leaders.

“The BJP leaders are under the impression that they can behave the way they want. The Congress will wait and watch what action the chief minister will take against the legislator,” DK Shivakumar said.


In a video widely circulated, Siddu Savadi was seen pushing and manhandling a woman councillor belonging to his own party, in an attempt to stop her from supporting the Congress in local town municipal polls.
