Win-Win Budget for both rural, urban areas: Ananth Kumar
Fertiliser Minister Ananth Kumar today termed the Budget as a win-win for both rural and urban areas with a special focus on farmers.

Kumar said the basis of this budget is 'Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas'
"Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has given a win-win budget... it focuses on development for rural areas and especially farmers at the same time it offers alot for the people in urban areas and for the infrastructure sector," Kumar said.
He also said that the budget emphaisesd on the soil health and the use of organic fertilisers.
"The budget incentives the use of organic fertilisers and the city compost. This will be of great help to the farmers," Kumar said.
The minister also said the introduction of direct benefit transfer ( DBT) on pilot basis in fertilisers will empower the farmers and at the same time it will help in balanced fertilisation.
"We want to empower the farmers so that he can make decision without being concerned about prices of fertilisers. I am sure the DBT in fertiliser will help in this. At the same it can also help in enabling balanced fertilisation," Kumar added.
