Will vote for the party that constructs Ram Temple: Crowd interrupts Rajnath Singh, Yogi Aadityanath's speech

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Aadityanath faced an embarrassing moment while speaking at an event in Lucknow yesterday, when some audience members in the crowd started sloganeering over demand of construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya.

Rajnath, MP from Lucknow, was speaking at the Yuva Kumbh event in the capital city of Uttar Pradesh, when some young listeners attending the function interrupted his speech for few minutes.

"Jo Mandir Banwayega, Vote Usi ko Jayega (We will vote for the party, which constructs the Ram Temple)," the audience members were heard sloganeering.



Rajanth Singh even tried to pacify them by assuring them that "Ram Temple will be constructed in Ayodhya" but the members kept shouting.

The organisers also kept on requesting the audience to maintain calm and listen to the senior leader.

Earlier, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Aadityanath also faced sloganeering during his speech at the same function. Replying to the protesters, he said whenever Ram temple will be constructed at Ayodhya it would be only by "us" and no one else.

In an apparent reference to the issue, Adityanath said: "Some people here were speaking about Ram Janmabhoomi. Friends, whosoever does this job or whenever this job is done, this job will be done by us, no one else will be able to do so".
