Will the city of Bengaluru see another election soon?

BENGALURU: Never in the past did Bengalureans see the kind of confusion around the polls to Bengaluru's civic body, the BBMP, as they do now. The confusion has arisen due to the government's firm decision to split BBMP and replace it with a governance structure it believes will make things better. The legislature has already passed the Karnataka Municipal Corporations (amendment) Bill, 2015, which provides for the creation of two or more civic bodies in Bengaluru. The Bill is awaiting the GovernorPresident's assent. And, no one is sure how the coming days will unfold in view of the Bill hanging like a Damocles sword. KR Balasubramanyam spoke to experts to understand the possibilities and this is how they appear.
