Will profarmer land acquisition legislation improve Rahul Gandhi's political image?

The UPA government introduced a series of administrative decisions and legislations after Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi took up these issues in public.

While Congress and its government have been more than happy to give all credit to Gandhi, the Opposition saw in it a choreographed effort to enhance the political profi le of the Congress vice-president.

After Rahul joined the farmers protest at Bhatta, Parsaul and Acchepur in Greater Noida against ‘unfair acquisition’ of farm land by construction companies, the government came out with a profarmer land acquisition legislation.
