Will never stop fighting the RSS ideology: Rahul Gandhi

NEW DELHI: A day after the BJP camp claimed Rahul Gandhi climbed down, in his submission before Supreme Court, from what he had said about the RSS supporters in the context his comments about Mahatma Gandhi's assassination, the Congress vice-president on Thursday asserted that he stood by each of his words and that he will never compromise in his fight against RSS agenda.

"I will never stop fighting hateful and the divisive agenda of RSS. I stand by every single word I said," Gandhi said in a tweet on Thursday, where a You-Tube clipping of his public speech too was attached with a caption "RSS people killed Gandhi ji, Rahul Gandhi in Bhiwandi".

The Congress also released the operative part of Gandhi's submission before the court in the defamation case. It states, "A careful reading of the relevant part of his (Rahul Gandhi's) speech indicates that as per the petitioner, the assassination of Mahatama Gandhi was a result of destructive philosophy of the persons associated with the RSS. It was also clearly suggested that the assassins were associated or affiliated with the RSS.

He never accused RSS as an institution of the crime.
