Will NCP collaborate with Shiv Sena in Maharashtra to build an anti-BJP alliance?
NCP General Secretary Praful Patel made it clear that his party may support some other party either from outside or by getting into an alliance.

Patel made it clear on Thursday that his party may support some other party either from outside or by getting into an alliance in Maharashtra. The BJP made it clear on Wednesday itself that it will never have any alliance with the NCP. "Whatever the exit polls may suggest we are going to have good number in the assembly and we will be playing a very important role in the formation of a new government in the state," Patel said speaking to reporters. NCP Chief Sharad Pawar too had said earlier that he will work with anti-BJP forces in Maharashtra. This has given rise to the possibility of NCP and Shiv Sena coming closer.
BJP state President Devendra Fadnavis said "Our Prime Minister has openly called the NCP a Bhrashtachari party (corrupt party) in public rallies. This should be enough for all to know that there is no question of us going with the NCP in any case. Come what may we will never have any alliance with the NCP"
Earlier NCP Chief Sharad Pawar gave a clear indication that his preference would be to build or join an anti-BJP alliance in Maharashtra.
