Will 'expose' Cong's 'hollow' claims on minorities: BJP
NEW DELHI: BJP today alleged that Congress has done nothing for Muslims and vowed to "expose" UPA government's "hollow" claims of minorities' welfare.

Party's spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad said their "charge sheet" against the UPA government would highlight the "gross injustice" minorities have suffered under its rule and their tardy pace of development.

The party's committee assigned with the task of preparing a "chargesheet" against UPA met for the first time today and Prasad said they would expose the Congress-led government's hollow claims to minorities' welfare as they have suffered a lot in its rule.

Prasad, who along with party's Deputy Leader in Lok Sabha Gopinath Munde heads the committee, said their slogan is "UPA ki virasat, asahay Bharat, asurakhit Bharat (UPA's legacy, helpless India, insecure India)".

"We will meet various sections of society across the country to elicit their views on the government's misrule before we ready the chargesheet," Prasad said.

The committee is one of 20 sub-committees constituted by the party's Election Campaign Committee headed by Narendra Modi.

Munde was also present in the meet which decided to actively use social media to seek people's opinion.

"BJP's website would soon have a folder where people can file their opinions which would be considered for chargesheet... We will also do crowd-sourcing on social media," he said.

Prasad said the committee's members would meet different sections -- youth, women, SCs, STs, weavers, fishermen among others -- in various cities.

"UPA's 10 years in power is a decade of misrule, corruption and financial mess," he alleged.
