Will campaign for the BJP as a party worker, says Uma Bharti
GUNA: Despite claims by the ruling BJP in Madhya Pradesh that it would score a hat-trick in the state, former MP Chief Minister Uma Bharti ducked a question on the issue and said she would campaign for the party as a worker.

"I will campaign for the party as a BJP worker," Uma told reporters at the Circuit House, when asked whether BJP would come back to power in the state for a third time.

Uma, who is also the BJP's National Vice President arrived here to take part in a religious function.

When asked that if the credit for bringing BJP to power in Madhya Pradesh in 2003 goes to her and if the party had been neglecting her, Uma said that it would be better if BJP President Rajnath Singh answered these questions.

About the poor condition of roads in the state which was a major poll plank in 2003 and how she felt while coming to Guna from Bhopal by road, Uma said that because of a damaged bridge enroute, she reached the city through a different route.

Avoiding a direct reply to the question, she said with a smile that it was okay at "some places".
