Wikileaks expose vindicates BJP stand: Naidu
Senior BJP leader M Venkaiah Naidu today said the recent leak of diplomatic cables by Wikileaks has vindicated his party's stand that Opposition MPs were bribed by the UPA to win the 2008 trust vote.
Naidu told reporters that the UPA government has lost moral authority to continue even for a minute as the expose provided additional evidence in the cash-for-votes scam.
Demanding immediate resignation of the Prime Minister, he said, "It is now conclusively established that some Opposition parties and their MPs were lured and bribed. It (the UPA government) should step down as there is no other way," he said.
On the report of the Kishore Chandra Deo Committee, which probed the alleged cash-for-votes scam, Naidu said the UPA did not bother to conduct a thorough investigation.
