New Delhi: Congress on Friday sought to know why PM Narendra Modi did not name China or talk about Chinese intrusion in his address to troops at the frontline in Ladakh. The AICC did not hold an official briefing but CWC member Rahul Gandhi tweeted: "Ladakhis say: China took our land. PM says: Nobody took our land. Obviously, someone is lying."

"Today’s visit to Leh by PM Modi is good. He met the injured soldiers. But if one looks back, prime ministers Jawaharlal Nehru, Lal Bahadur Shastri and Indira Gandhi visited areas of (border) friction over a dozen times and one needs to see it (Modi visit) the same way," former defence minister AK Antony told the media.
