When Rahul Gandhi got confused between Kumbha Ram and Kumbhkaran

A video is doing the rounds on internet in which Congress president Rahul Gandhi is seen saying Kumbhakaran Lift Yojana instead of Kumbha Ram Lift Yojana.

Gandhi's latest gaffe purportedly came during an election rally in Rajasthan which is going to the polls this Friday.

In the 16 second video, Rahul Gandhi was shown saying: "Ashok Ghelotji here gave money for Kumbhakaran Lift Yojana."


Soon after someone off the camera corrected him after which Rahul Gandhi said that he meant Kumbha Ram Lift Yojana.

BJP leaders are quick to pounce on Rahul's latest blunder. "Kumbha Ram Lift Yojana? Kumbhakaran used to sleep for six months. The Congress has been sleeping for 60 years," union minister Piyush Goyal quipped.


BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra also took a dig at the Congress leader saying: "This Man feels He deserves to be the PM of India!! Does He take the Indian voters as “Kumbhkaran”?"

Rahul Gandhi, 48, had made some similar gaffes in the past. He was once addressed P Venugopal as "Madam Speaker". Prime Minister Narendra Modi had many times in the past took potshot at the Gandhi scion for his "coconut juice" and "potato factory" remarks.
