Playing a flute in front of a buffalo may have been a unique form of protest by Congress workers in Madhya Pradesh's Dewas but it didn't take long for it to turn nasty.

The buffalo, apparently got irked by the cacophony around, went berserk and injured some Congress workers and the members Daily Up Downers Association who were protesting the delay in implementation of intercity bus service between Indore and Dewas, Times of India reported.

“We were left with no option, but to highlight to the public how the government was indifferent to the long-pending public demand,” the Dewas district Congress president Manoj Rajani said.

The Dewas mayor Subhas Sharma said that the project has been approved and the implementation will start soon.
