When Nirmala Sitharaman takes Dravidian politics to cleaners with examples of Kamba Ramayanam

Speaking at the Dr SL Bhyrappa Memorial Lecture in New Delhi, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said Kambar’s 12th-century epic was not merely a translation of Valmiki’s Ramayana, but an infusion of distinct Tamil thoughts, landscapes and lifestyles. She also said the Dravidian movement sought to vilify and destroy the Kamba Ramayanam.
