When a mother doesn't give proper education, the child becomes like PM: Congress leader Randhawa

In a recent function held in Jaipur, Congress party's Rajasthan in-charge, Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, found himself embroiled in a controversy after making comments comparing Prime Minister Narendra Modi to a child lacking proper education. As per the ToI report, he made the controversial remarks during a speech to Congress leaders.

“If a mother does not give good education to her child, then the child becomes like Prime Minister Modi,” ToI quoted Randhawa saying at a function in Jaipur.

“I and my family have been Congressmen from the beginning. Because of this, I have reached here. I am standing here because of my mother, the Congress party. The party is like a mother. If the mother gives good education, then the child does well. When the mother does not give proper education, then the child becomes like the prime minister,” Randhawa said.


He also recounted the tale of 'Dhaporshankh,' a conch that promised abundance but delivered nothing. He narrated how a man was given a conch by a holy man, with the assurance that it would grant his every wish. However, despite his multiple requests for food and water, the conch failed to fulfill any of them, leaving the man famished and disillusioned.

Drawing a parallel, Randhawa likened PM Modi to the deceptive conch, alleging that the Prime Minister made grand promises but failed to deliver on them. "He promised two things instead of one, four things instead of two, but delivered none," Randhawa said.

He said, PM Modi has also raised the people's expectations by promising more than he could deliver.
