Western media ignoring growth story: Venkaiah Naidu
Venkaiah Naidu said the story of India should focus on India as an “emerging economy, growing superpower, vibrant democracy with the youngest workforce in the World.”

He was speaking at the “Communicating India” conference organised by the Vivekanda International Foundation that has several important dignitaries, including NSA Ajit Doval and principal secretary Nripendra Misra, as members.
“I am not reducing these incidents. They have to be condemned but one must understand India is a large country,” the minister said, adding that the story of India should focus on India as an “emerging economy, growing superpower, vibrant democracy with the youngest workforce in the World.”
He also made a dig at how news these days was mostly about “odd and bizarre happenings and not about someone doing good work.”
“Breaking mikes is breaking news. Someone talking about woes of farmers is completely ignored,” the minister said. “No one can deny that the country is surging ahead, but some people are not able to digest this reality” the minister said.
