West Bengal to benefit from NIA probe, says BJP state President Rahul Sinha
MALDA (WB): West Bengal would be benefited by the National Investigative Agency ( NIA) probe into the Burdwan blast in which suspected terrorists were involved, BJP state President Rahul Sinha said here today.

"The truth will come out by the NIA probe and the state will be benefited. It will be spared from a graver crisis," Sinha told a press conference.

Referring to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's allegation of interference by the Centre into state affairs by suo motu ordering an NIA probe in the October 2 blast at Khagragarh in Burdwan district, Sinha said it was not interference and the state government should cooperate with the NIA.

He said when the NIA was formed and its area of activities were decided by the Centre, Banerjee was a member of the Parliamentary committee on Home Affairs and she knew very well when the NIA could act without a state government's permission.

"The demand for an NIA probe was not only demanded by us. People of the entire state were in favour of it," the BJP leader said and alleged that the ruling Trinamool Congress was associated with both the Saradha ponzi scam and the Khagragarh episode.

He said Banerjee herself was for an NIA investigation into Maoist activities in March and July, 2012 but now she was opposed to it.
