Union Minister of State for Education Subhas Sarkar
Union Education Minister (MoS) Subhas Sarkar was locked inside a room by his own party BJP workers for more than two hours in his own Constituency in Bankura, bringing out BJP's internal squabble in the forefront. Bankura Police came to the spot and rescued him.

Organizational discord is one of the reasons behind the row and intra-party factional feud for the incident, party sources said. Major chaos prevailed as two groups of BJP workers got engaged in a scuffle. BJP workers accused Sarkar of autocracy inside the party and domination of the MoS.

The BJP workers said that Sarkar has control over organizational issues and did not pay any heed to the party workers on the matter.

Sarkar did not comment on the matter after he was rescued by police. Sarkar was locked up by BJP party workers in a party office in his own Constituency, party sources said.
