West Bengal: In an hour of polling, CPM agent shot dead
KOLKATA: Within the first hour of election in Murshidabad, a polling agent of CPM was shot dead in front of the polling booth today. The deceased victim has been identified as Tahidul Islam , an active worker of CPM at Domkol in Murshidabad.

Meanwhile, incidents of hurling bombs at each other were reported from the area. More than 30 crude bombs were hurled near the polling booth in the area . CPM candidate Anisur Rahman said that Tahidul was killed by TMC men . According to witnesses, husband of TMC panchayat pradhan was leading the goons who attacked the booth premises.

This is the third life claimed by poll violence in Bengal .
