West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee pays tributes to Netaji

KOLKATA: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today paid rich tributes to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on his birth anniversary.

"Homage to Desh Nayak Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on his birth anniversary," Banerjee said in a tweet.

The Mamata government in September last year had released 64 'secret' files related to Netaji.

In New Delhi, 100 files relating to Netaji were declassified by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion.

The move meets the long-standing public demand to access these files as well as facilitate scholars to carry out further research on Bose.
