West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee opens development projects in Junglemahal
West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee today inaugurated two bridges on rivers-Kangshavati and Subarnarekha in Junglemahal .

Apart from putting efforts in uplifting the lives of the tribal people in Junglemahal, Banerjee has put a new shape to the infrastructure in the area. The bridges have been named as “Lalgarh” and “Janakalyan” .
“The much awaited bridges on river Subarnarekha connecting Keshiary and Nayagram Blocks and on river Kangsabati connecting Medinipur and Jhargram were inaugurated today.I have named the bridge on river Subarnarekha as “Jangalkanya” Bridge and the bridge on river Kangsabati as “Lalgarh” Bridge,” she posted in Face Book.
“The 1472 metre long Janalkanya bridge has been built at a cost of nearly Rs.170 Crore and this is the longest river bridge in the state. I congratulate my brothers and sisters of Jangalmahal for fulfillment of their long-time aspiration. Lakhs of people were present to witness the historic occasion,” she added.
Apart from the bridges, Banerjee also inaugurated six hospitals at Jhargram, Gopiballavpur, Kakdwip, Bishnupur, Panskura and Baruipur.
