ED officials probing the multi-crore cash-for-school-job case in West Bengal: Former Education Minister and Trinamool Congress Secretary General Partha Chatterjee taken in relation to the alleged school-job scam.
Kolkata: The charge framing process against a total of 21 accused persons, including former Education Minister Partha Chatterjee, has been completed at a special CBI court in Kolkata on Thursday, in connection with the alleged multi-crore West Bengal School Service Commission (WBSSC) scam in Bengal.

Among the total 21 accused , the prominent ones are former West Bengal education minister and Trinamool Congress secretary general Partha Chatterjee, former West Bengal minister of state-school Education Paresh Chandra Adhikari and his daughter Ankita Adhikari.

All three of them have filed exemption petitions with the plea for being exempted from the charges under which they had been framed.


The other major names of the accused persons include former WBSSC chairman, Subiresh Bhattacharya, former West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) Kalyanmoy Gangopadhyay, former head of WBSSC screening committee, Santa Prasad Singh, former WBSSC secretary, Ashok Saha, and former WBSSC staff Samarjit Acharya and Parna Basu, among others.
