Welcome to Delhi: Rs 25 crore to beautify entry points
Govt also said it intended to develop the Yamuna as a world-class tourist destination for international and domestic tourists.

Sisodia allocated Rs 25 crore in 2019-20 for the beautification drive and the creation of entry gates.
"Entry points to Delhi will be given an aesthetic look. In Phase I, five entry points will be beautified, including the borders at Gurgaon, Tikri Kalan, Ghazipur, Apsara and Anand Vihar near Kaushambi," deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia said, adding that seven others will be identified for beautification in Phase-II in the next fiscal.

In another tourism announcement, the government said it intended to develop the Yamuna as a world-class tourist destination for international and domestic tourists, particularly by developing the area around the Signature Bridge.
"The landscape there will be developed in an environmentally sustainable manner. Tourist amenities and an information centre will be developed, with a shuttle service and guided tour of the Signature Bridge. Consultants and advisors are being appointed for preparatory work for development of the river front,'' Sisodia added.
