We will win again in 2016: West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee
KOLKATA: West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee today posted in Twitter that her party would come in power in 2016 and she is ‘confident’ about her party’s victory. She wrote, “In a democracy people have the final say. Our record on development makes us confident that we will win again in 2016.”

Even though, the TMC insiders could not explain the immediate provocation behind the tweet by the chief minister, one of her closest associate said, “Didi was yesterday asked in an interview in a Bengali news channel whether she would win in 2016 too. Didi was humble enough to say that people would decide. But, she has always been confident about People’s trust on her.”

Reacting to the post of Banerjee, senior BJP leader Siddharth Nath Singh said, “TMC does not get votes for development. Had this been the case, they would not have rigged the polls. But in 2016, it would not happen. There would be central forces and the results might differ.”
