Ding Xuexiang, member of the Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China, Shanghai, told the visiting BJP President Nitin Gadkari, "We welcome IT professionals from India because they are very good".

Ding also hosted a dinner in honour of Gadkari and his team currently touring China on a goodwill visit.

He said that the Indian community in Shanghai, China's biggest commercial centres, is making a positive contribution to the rapid growth of the city as one of the biggest commercial hubs in the world.

There are a large number of Indian professionals working in different fields in shanghai and other parts of China.

Appreciating phenomenal progress Shanghai has made in the last few decades as one of the most advanced cities in the world, Gadkari said he would tell the Shanghai success story to all the BJP chief ministers and ask them to emulate the same model of development and growth, a press release said.
