WB Governor M K Naryanan hopes good sense will prevail in Darjeeling
KOLKATA: As the normal life continued to remain disrupted in Darjeeling by the Gorkha Janamukti Morcha agitation over Gorkhaland, West Bengal Governor M K Naryanan today said it was a 'difficult situation' and hoped 'good sense' would prevail.

"I know it is a difficult situation. Let's hope good sense would prevail and matter would settle," the governor told reporters without elaborating on the sidelines of a programme here.

The governor had earlier ruled out the possibility of mediation in Darjeeling, but had said he was ready to talk to the GJM chief Bimal Gurung if he wanted it.

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has ruled out any division of the state and dissolution of the hill council, Gorkha Territorial Administration.
