Kolkata: Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee on Monday attacked the Congress and CPI-M for resorting to double standards by seeking Trinamool's help to fight BJP at the Centre on the one hand, and teaming up with BJP to fight the Trinamool in Bengal during the panchayat polls on the other hand.

"We will help them (Congress-CPI-M) in Delhi to fight against BJP but the three political parties will come together in Bengal and attack Trinamool," Banerjee said. She slammed BJP for the Manipur violence and said BJP at the Centre, after destroying Manipur and Kashmir, is trying to wreak havoc in Bengal.

Banerjee said, "They (CPI-M) are behind the various mass murders and social boycotts. Now there is peace everywhere."

Meanwhile, governor CV Ananda Bose, who visited Basanti to meet the relatives of the slain Trinamool worker, said "...this political Holi with human blood must end."
