Water tank scam: ACB summons Kapil Mishra

NEW DELHI: Delhi water minister Kapil Mishra has been summoned by the Anti-Corruption Branch ( ACB) in connection with the investigations into the alleged water tanker scam against which the probe agency accepted a complaint filed by BJP MLA Vijender Gupta earlier this month.

Speaking with reporters on Tuesday, Mishra termed the ACB summons as a “world record” of the Narendra Modi government for investigating “individuals exposing corruption and a financial scam” instead of the “perpetrators”.

“Our government which has provided a 125-page report as evidence against former CM Sheila Dikshit is being interrogated instead of the perpetrators of corruption and crime.

I have been summoned by the ACB on 4th July 2016 for being an honest minister working to expose financial impropriety instead of the former CM Sheila Dikshit, her cabinet colleagues, her MLAs or her officers,” claimed Mishra. Informing that chief minister Arvind Kejriwal had anticipated a situation like this, Mishra pointed out that the ACB had not yet summoned Dikshit.
