The rally, held in a stronghold of the opposition Samajwadi Party since 1996, featured a striking sight as Adityanath’s supporters arrived on a bulldozer, a gesture that underscored his continued emphasis on swift action against crime and lawlessness.
The bulldozer procession leading up to the rally drew attention in a video shared by ANI.
Yogi Adityanath, who has frequently stressed that such "bulldozer actions" are not only necessary but require both capability and commitment, addressed crowds in Mainpuri, Azamgarh, and Kanpur.
"The message of the people is clear – we will not be divided. We will remain united and good, we will remain united and safe," Adityanath said.
Earlier in the day, Adityanath was in Lucknow for the launch of the Gomti Book Festival at the Gomti Riverfront Park in the city's Jiamau area. The festival, organised by the National Book Trust and the Lucknow Development Authority, is set to run until November 17.
During his visit, the Uttar Pradesh chief minister urged students and young readers to develop a habit of reading and encouraged them to purchase at least one book from the fair.
CM Yogi also addressed concerns about the growing digital influence on today’s youth, remarking that young people are spending up to six hours daily on smartphones and other devices.
“If this time is used in some productive work, then it can be beneficial for both the society and youth. We should use technology but not become its slaves,” said CM Yogi.
Touching on India’s rich cultural heritage, Adityanath highlighted the significance of the country’s traditional knowledge systems. He specifically pointed to the ‘shruti tradition’ of ancient Indian wisdom. He explained how sages recorded knowledge at sacred sites like Naimisharanya, which became key pilgrimage destinations in India.
