Want flat or refund? Unitech buyers asked to choose
NEW DELHI: Supreme Court today asked 16,299 flat buyers to give their option, whether they want flats or refund, to amicus curiae Pawan S Agrawal by October 23.

The apex court also refused to grant interim bail to Unitech MD and promoter Sanjay Chandra. The court was informed that Unitech had yet to deliver possession of 16,299 flats worth Rs 7,816 crore to investors.

Several home buyers had knocked on the doors of the apex court seeking a direction to the real estate company to give timely possession of flats or compensation.

On September 15 too, the top court had refused to grant interim bail to Chandra in connection to alleged fraud case related to delaying of housing projects in Noida and Gurugram.
