'Wait and See': Bengal minister on Cyrus Mistry

SANKRAIL (West Bengal): West Bengal Industry minister Partha Chatterjee today reserved comment on the new Tata group chairman-designate Cyrus Mistry who is expected to take charge tomorrow.

"Wait and see," Chatterjee told reporters when asked whether the state government would congratulate Mistry on his new assignment.

"I believe that management is always a continuous thing and it is the leader who decides which way they will go. Let's see," Chatterjee said.

Bengal Chamber of Commerce had suggested that the West Bengal government should reach an out-of-court settlement with the Tata group on the Singur issue to change the perception about the state.

Chatterjee reiterated that he would not like to comment on a matter that was subjudice.

He said, however, that a number of Tata group companies were operating in the state and there was no problem.
