Vyapam scam: Shivraj Singh Chouhan must quit, says Congress
The AICC asked why Shivraj Singh Chouhan was never questioned in connection with the medial entrance scam which formed a major part of the Vyapam scandal.

Pointing out that Chouhan had held additional charge of medical education portfolio for over three years, the AICC asked why he has never been questioned in connection with the medial entrance scam which formed a major part of the Vyapam scandal. “As the Vyapam scandal, independent India’s biggest and most dangerous scandal, is going on to claim almost a life a day, it is clear that the BJP state government is hand-inglove with the culprits. Since people close to the chief minister are the main accused and no such huge scam could have happened without the CM’s knowledge, we demand the resignation of chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, an investigation into his own role in the scandal and an SC-monitored CBI probe. We also question the silence and inaction of the PM,” a party leader said.
Terming Vyapam as “the biggest and most dangerous corruption scandal in independent India”, AICC communication head Randeep Singh Surjewala said: “Even the chief of the state government-appointed Special Task Force had once gone on record that its investigating personnel too were worried about their safety.”
