Voters should encourage ethical voting: Puducherry CEO V Candavelou

Inaugurating Youth Voters Festival 2016, he said that Puducherry had a record of having around 85 per cent polling either in the Assembly or Parliamentary polls.

PUDUCHERRY: Chief Electoral Officer of Puducherry V Candavelou on Friday asked the voters to ensure that they did not fall a prey to inducements during elections and ensure that ethical voting was encouraged to have a free and fair poll.

Inaugurating a three day 'Electo Fest repeat Electo Fest' ( Youth Voters Festival 2016) organised by the Department of Elections ahead of the assembly polls, he said that Puducherry had a record of having around 85 per cent polling either in the Assembly or Parliamentary polls.

He said updating of electoral rolls would continue till the last date to file nominations.
