Iswaran appreciated the rehabilitation and rebuilding steps taken by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu in the city which was badly hit by the `Hudhud' cyclone.

Singapore Second Minister for Trade, Industry and Home Affairs S Iswaran stressed the need for a dialogue between investors of the Southeast Asian country and Visakhapatnam to explore business opportunities here.
Addressing industrialists and eminent personalities of the city at an interactive session organised by Andhra Pradesh Government here, he said the dialogue will help both sides to enhance knowledge and identify areas for cooperation.
Iswaran said the Singapore Government is closely working with Andhra Pradesh on building the State's new capital. This port city offers business opportunities in the fields like tourism, IT and education.
Iswaran appreciated the rehabilitation and rebuilding steps taken by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu in the city which was badly hit by the `Hudhud' cyclone in October last.
Naidu urged investors from Singapore to come forward and set up their ventures in the city which is blessed with natural resources and offers abundant business opportunities.
He said the Singapore Government had voluntarily come forward to prepare the master plan for the new capital and Japan, too, has extended help in the mega project.
Naidu said his Government will grant clearances for project proposals within 21 days of receiving applications and assured 24-hour power supply and necessary infrastructure facilities for investors.
