Vivek Rae takes over as MSME Secretary

New Delhi: Vivek Rae today took over as the Secretary in the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME).

He succeeds Radha Krishna Mathur, who has become the Secretary in the Department of Defence Production ( Ministry of Defence), an official release said.

Prior to this, Rae was the Director General (Acquisition) in Ministry of Defence.

He is a 1978 batch IAS officer of Union Territory cadre. The MSME sector contributes 8 per cent of the country's GDP, 45 per cent of the manufactured output and 40 per cent of its exports.
