Vishwa Hindu Parishad begins survey on Hindu migration
NEW DELHI: Sangh Parivar’s affiliate Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has started an all-India survey to look at cases of Hindus being forced to migrate from their native place by the minority community and will launch a “Palayaan nahi, Parakram (fight, not flight)” campaign to encourage and empower Hindus to take on such groups.

The decision to conduct the survey and initiate this campaign has been taken against the backdrop of incidents like the one in Kairana in western Uttar Pradesh where Hindus were allegedly forced by Muslims to migrate.

VHP claims such incidents have happened in West Bengal, Kerala and Kashmir in the past. “This is a psychological war in which, Muslims attack Hindus in their neighbourhood in the name of Jihad, while the latter do not have the psyche to fight back. We want the Hindus to fight back,” VHP leader Surendra Jain said.

He gave the example of Jammu and Kashmir where Pandits fled without putting up a fight. “But there are exceptions. In Poonch district there are only 20% Hindus but they did not have to migrate as they fought back. Similarly, in Rajouri, there are only 35% Hindus but the fought back. Even in Kairana in UP, Hindus- mostly Jats- from adjoining districts did not have to migrate as they fought back,” he added.
