Relationship between congress and BPF has strained following arrest of Monokumar Brahma leader of Bodoland Peoples' Front (BPF) on Saturday.

Some Bodo leaders have alleged that they are put under house arrest. BPF is a coalition partner of the ruling congress government in Assam.
