A case has been registered against them for pelting stones as AIADMK workers during the election rally at Pallathur last week, fears arrest.

MADURAI: Former DMK Minister K R Periyakaruppan, his son and 10 others today moved Madras High Court bench, seeking anticipatory bail in connection with an alleged incident of violence during campaigning in the run up to the May 16 assembly polls in Tamil Nadu.

Periyakaruppan is contesting from Tiruppattur Assembly constituency.

A case had been registered against all of them for allegedly pelting stones at AIADMK workers during election campaign at Pallathur last Friday.

Fearing arrest, they filed anticipatory bail application before the Madurai bench today.
