Vinay Tendulkar re-elected as Goa BJP president
"I am thankful to the workers, leaders and people of Goa in general for reimposing their faith in me," Tendulkar told PTI, soon after the announcement.

"Tendulkar was declared as elected for the post of (party) president unanimously," BJP's Goa unit spokesman Dr Wilfred Mesquita told PTI.
The election was held today at the BJP headquarters in Panaji.
Tendulkar is the first leader to be elected to the post for second consecutive time.
"I am thankful to the workers, leaders and people of Goa in general for reimposing their faith in me," Tendulkar told PTI, soon after the announcement.
He said the party is all set for the 2017 Goa Assembly elections and claimed that performance of BJP-led government in the state is enough for the party to get clear mandate.
"People have realized that BJP means development and all-round development. Our government schemes are cutting across all the caste, creed and religion lines. People have decided that even for next election, they will be with the party," he further claimed.
Tendulkar also said that the party will further strengthen its base in the state.
