Vijayakant criticises Ramadoss

Tamil actor Vijayakant on Saturday joined the film fraternity in criticising Union Health Minister Anbumani Ramadoss for showing concern over film actors being shown consuming liquor on screen.

NEW DELHI: Tamil actor Vijayakant on Saturday joined the film fraternity in criticising Union Health Minister Anbumani Ramadoss for showing concern over film actors being shown consuming liquor on screen.

The actor-politician said Ramadoss should try to find out the reason for the death of four children after being administered measles vaccine in Tamil Nadu, instead of showing concern over film actors shown consuming liquor on screen.

"First, he should try to find out the reason for the death of the children... then he can talk about the actors. There are so many issues which have to be taken care by him. I appeal him to do that, instead of indulging in such kind of activities," he told a rally here today.

Vijayakant said government hospitals in Tamil Nadu lack proper infrastructure and appealed to Ramadoss "to try to do something to change the way things look".
